Comedian Robert Webb left Strictly Come Dancing due to illness health, the BBC said.
The Peep Show star, who underwent heart surgery two years ago, said a doctor advised her to leave the show after “she started to feel symptoms” while training for the celebrity dancing competition. on the BBC.
Webb, 49, partnered with Dianne Buswell on the show.
He said in a statement: “I apologize for announcing that I am leaving Strictly Come Dancing due to ill health.
“Two years ago I had open heart surgery and even though I believe I was fit enough to do strictly and strictly schedule, it became clear that I was bitten more than chew for this stage in my recovery.
“I started to feel symptoms that led me to seek an urgent consultation with my heart specialist, and it was his view that it was better for the sake of my health to stay away from the show.
“I’m proud of the three dances Dianne Buswell and I have done and deeply regret that I left her like this.
“I would never have sought a more talented partner or a more patient teacher, and it was a measure of Dianne’s professionalism and kindness that I was able to arrive at like I did.”
He thanked viewers for voting for him and Buswell, adding that “he was especially touched by the support from fellow heart patients”.
“I think I’m probably eager to impress them too much. They’ll know that recovery doesn’t always go in a straight line, and I hope they’re not too disappointed that I ran to the limits of my stability sooner than I hope so, “he said.
“I’m leaving knowing that the strict spectators are in safe hands and I’ll cheer for my fellow competitors until Christmas.
“Despite this sad ending, it has been a real honor to be a part of this massive, fun and barking madman. TV show May it go on for a long time. ”
During his time on the show, Webb completed a tango, a cha cha and a quickstep.
