A woman was arrested after a man was attacked in Farnworth with a broken bottle.
The man was taken to hospital for his injuries, although they were not believed to be life threatening.
The attack happened at 2pm on Darley Street, Farnworth, this afternoon with a 27-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assault, according to police.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “At 2.09pm this afternoon (October 12) police were called with a report of an attack on Darley Street in Farnworth.
“Officers attended and initial inquiries established that a man was attacked by a broken bottle following the altercation.
“The man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.”
