A man was left in hospital after a hammer hit him in the head Southampton.
Police are on the hunt for three men after the attack and robbery on the ground floor stairwell of Norman House, Kent Street.
It happened on Monday October 11 around 5.30pm and the victim, a 26-year-old man from the city, was in need of hospital treatment.
A number of items, including house keys, were also stolen from him during the attack.
Officers arrested a 61-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of conspiracy to cause severe bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody for now.
The three men they were looking for were described as:
• A white male in his late 20s or late 30s, approximately 5ft 11 inches tall, bald with a gray goatee style beard and large build. He was seen wearing a black coat, black shorts and may have been carrying a black racksack.
• A black man in his late 20s or late 30s, about 6ft tall, stylish corn row hair and slender build. He was wearing a black and red jumper with blue jeans. He has unique gold or silver teeth.
• A black male in his late 20s or late 30s, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, short receding hair with a thin dark beard and moderate build. He was seen wearing a gray Adidas jumper and blue jeans.
Detective Daryanne Ryan said:
“We are conducting a lot of inquiries today to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and identify who was involved.
“We invite anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about the attack or the men involved, to please contact us. Also, if anyone has available private CCTV that can capture the incident or the events leading up to it. in the attack, we strongly listen from you because it can help our investigation. ”
