Scots pensioner who died after colliding with Glasgow bus named by police

A Scots retiree has died after being hit by a bus.

Roseann McLaughlan, 71, was struck near Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.

The incident occurred on the city’s Killermont Street around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Emergency services were at the scene and the area was locked by officers from Scottish Police.

The 71-year-old started Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injury.

Medical staff described her condition as critical at the time but Roseann McLaughlan has since died.

Police are now looking for information following the collision and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Sergeant Roy McCarney, of the Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Crash questions continue and we support the woman’s family today.

“Anyone with information, particularly dash-cam footage of the incident, is requested to contact Scotland Police via 101 citing incident number 2232 as of 7th October 2021.”
