A seven-year-old girl died after being hit by a caravan at a Wilsons Promontory camp.
The caravan was being moved when it struck the girl around 10 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of River Road and Fifth Avenue in Tidal River.
A police spokeswoman said an off-duty paramedic performed CPR on the girl but could not be resuscitated.
The driver involved was pulled over and is assisting police with the investigation.
Tidal River, about 220 kilometers southeast of Melbourne, is the main visitor center for people visiting Wilsons Promontory National Park in West Gippsland.
