Allen West, Texas GOP gubernatorial, hopes to have COVID-19

Candidate for governor of the Republic of Texas Allen West said on Saturday he was “probably going to the hospital,” after being diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia.

Lord. West all personal events were suspended Saturday after his wife Angela West tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. Mrs. West received the COVID-19 vaccine. Lord. West not yet.

He said on Twitter that he experiencing a “low -grade fever and mild body aches” Saturday and was later told he and Mrs. West completed monoclonal antibody infusion therapy.

“There’s concern about my oxygen saturation levels, which are at 89 and they should be at 95,” Mr. West said on Twitter.

Lord. West said on Thursday he attended a “packed” fundraiser in Seabrook, Texas for Mission Generation.

Lord. West announced his bid in July against incumbent Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is also a Republican and endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Before announcing his run for governor, Mr. West is a leader of the Republican Party of Texas.

Lord. West represented Florida in the U.S. House as a Republican tea party for a term after winning the seat in 2010. He failed to win a reunion in 2012 and eventually moved to Texas.

He criticized Mr. Abbott’s handling of COVID-19, which targeted the governor for enforcing mandates and locking up the entire state during the pandemic.
