The EU will present a package of measures for Northern Ireland

The EU Commission will finalize measures next week that could lead to a resolution of post-Brexit trade problems in Northern Ireland by the end of the year or early 2022, commission vice-chair Maroš Šefčovič said on Thursday. The measures focus on customs controls, finding long-term solutions for food and plant safety, and supplying medicines from Britain, Reuters reported. However, the Northern Ireland protocol will not be renegotiated, Šefčovič said.
