Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the murder investigation has been launched after a man died following a shooting in Croydon, south London-officials have appealed to speak to anyone present at the celebration.
A 35-year-old man was shot dead after an early morning party in Croydon, south London.
Metropolitan Police confirmed a murder investigation has been launched.
Officers were called immediately before 5am on Saturday to report that a man had been shot and rushed to the scene along with the London Ambulance Service.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next relative will be informed and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

DCI Goodwin said: “What I think is in the victim’s family. They will be supported by expert officers.
“Although our questions are at an early stage, I believe the victim may have attended a house celebration that continued into the early hours of Saturday morning, near the shooting scene on Birdhurst Road, Croydon.
“Officials wanted to talk to anyone who was present at that celebration.
“Even if you think you have seen or heard nothing significant, please contact the police if you are present.
“I would also like to appeal for any witnesses, anyone with information or anyone who may have relevant dashcam or other footage to please get in touch.”
There was no arrest at this early stage.
