Profeco reported that from 165 verification visits to gas stations, two cases with irregularities were found.
The head of the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco), Ricardo Sheffield Padilla, announced that, from September 3 to 9, 177 complaints received in the Liter by Liter app were attended, and 165 visits were made to gas stations.
When giving the Who’s Who in Fuel Prices report, the official said that two gas stations prevented them from being verified, so they will be visited again for a comprehensive review. These are the following service stations:
- Huaxtla gas station, located on the road to Nextipac 4938, El Húmedo, in Zapopan, Jalisco.
- Cuatro Peñascos, located at kilometer 35.5, Carretera Pedriceña -Nazas, Paso Nacional, in Nazas, Durango.
“We are already targeting these two gas stations so that we can visit them with the National Guard, the ASEA (Security, Energy and Environment Agency) and the CRE (Energy Regulatory Commission), to carry out a comprehensive verification because, obviously, something is not correct it is what they are hiding by not allowing us to check the bombs, “said the prosecutor.
Of the 165 verification visits to gas stations, two cases with irregularities were found, with two immobilized pumps.
Regarding the national average price, as of September 10, the national average price of regular gasoline was 20.55 pesos per liter, premium 22.44 and diesel 21.73. By brand, Redco, Chevron and Arco had the highest prices while Exxon Mobil, G500 and Orsan had the cheapest.
From August 30 to September 5, when considering the highest profit rates, by brand and by region, in regular gasoline the highest price of 21.80 pesos per liter, with a margin of 3.50, was held by Franchise Utilities and Services G500, in Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, Mexico City. The lowest price was 20.01, with a 0.15 margin, and was held by Operadora de Combustibles Megalem, from Pemex, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.
In premium gasoline, the highest price of 23.99 and a margin of 3.42 was registered at Gasolinera La Verbena, from ARCO, in Hermosillo, Sonora. Boca Service, from Pemex, in Veracruz, Veracruz, had the lowest price of 20.74 and a margin of 0.18.
In diesel, the highest price of 23.96 and margin of 4.42 was at the San Antonio Service Station, with the G500 franchise, in San Pedro Mixtepec, Oaxaca. The lowest price was 21.14 and a margin of 0.19 at Eustoil, Eustoil franchise, in Durango, Durango.
