Petroleum Gas Company (PETROGAS) supplied 3.7 million tons of butane in 2020/21, the company’s director, Raafat Abdel Hady, Announced during the General Assembly meeting, chaired by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla.
Abdel Hady reviewed the company’s performance and shed light on its achievements, which include modernizing the loading and unloading processes of butane tanker trailers and installing “QC” smart control links at regional service stations, fields and tanker trailers.
In addition, the company has increased cylinder distribution points to a total of 3,092 throughout the country.
During the Assembly, El Molla pointed out that the political and economic stability in Egypt was accompanied by stability in the butane supply system. He further added that a quantum leap was made by adding seven major butane facilities in ports, three of which in the Mediterranean and four in the Red Sea, compared to just two that previously existed.
