Drag Race UK queens on battles with Brexit and Covid

The 12 queens of the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK have been revealed, and they include the show’s first female queen: Victoria Scone.

The 27-year-old from Cardiff is known as an ‘AFAB’ (female assigned at birth) queen and says she constantly faces criticism for not being a ‘proper drag queen’.

Also participating will be Choriza May, a drag queen from Spain who now lives in Newcastle, and Veronica Green, 35, who returned for a second chance after she had to leave season two due to a positive Covid-19 test.

Newsbeat has spoken with the 12 queens participating in the new series.
